Yeonju Son( b.1996 )
is a multidisciplinary artist based in London and Seoul.
Her practice explores attempting ontological reflection in the time-space in a conceptual way. She focuses on diverse materials including drawing, painting, sculpture and installation with ideas of transforming, interconnecting, time, and sensitivity. She explains her works are the traces of her life and all the moments she has been passing. Her works look simple but she invariably wants to grasp her moment ‘we’ have, lives around me or beyond itself, to reveal ‘we’ are existing as their shape itself through her language.
She studied BFA Korean Painting at Ewha Womans University in South Korea, she recently achieved an M.A. degree from the Painting Programme at the Royal College of Art in the United Kingdom.
